FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
1
We have chosen not to be in-network providers with insurance companies in order to protect the confidentiality of our clients. Most insurance companies require the release of your confidential health records to cover your services, including a mental health diagnosis, which can affect the quality of therapy you receive.
However, many insurance companies cover a portion of the cost of therapy, even for out-of-network providers. If your insurance plan has out of network benefits, I will provide you with a “superbill” each month that will include the necessary information required for your insurance company to reimburse you a percentage approved by your plan. Reimbursement is dependent on out-of-network benefits and plan details.
If you are concerned about financial costs or sliding scales, please contact us and we can discuss these concerns together.
How do I get started?
2
Getting started is simple. Reach out to schedule a free consultation, and we'll talk about your concerns, answer any questions you have, and discuss the next steps
How do I know if therapy is right for my child or teen?
3
If you're noticing changes in your child's mood, behavior, confidence, relationships, school functioning, or ability to manage emotions, therapy may be worth considering. You don't have to wait for a crisis to seek support.
If you're unsure, that's exactly what a consultation is for. We can talk about what you're seeing and determine whether counseling or parent coaching may be appropriate.
Do you offer in-person services?
4
I offer in-person therapy in the Kansas City Northland and virtual therapy throughout Missouri and Florida. Whether you prefer meeting in person or connecting from the comfort of home, I offer flexible options to make therapy accessible and convenient.
